G3, Legislators to Discuss Real-Money Videogames

Updated: Apr 5

The Future of Unregulated Gaming to be Discussed at NCLGS Summer Meeting, July 17-20 in Pittsburgh.

Whether it's called Real Money Video Games or Skill Gaming, legislators, regulators, and operators are taking notice of this growing and mostly unregulated market that competes with casinos and online gaming companies. Is it time to regulate it?

As legal challenges mount in the courts over the legality of these games, legislators are doing their best to understand the issues and develop thoughtful policy to ensure a level playing field without stifling innovation.

The impact these issues have on the industry will be among the topics discussed at the NCLGS Summer Meeting, July 17-20, 2024, at Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh. The Committee on Emerging Forms of Gaming will be chaired by Rep. Chris Kannady of Oklahoma, and panelists will include:

  • Anthony Gaud, Co-CEO, Gaud-Hammer Gaming Group (G3)

  • Jeff Morris, Vice President Public Affairs, Penn Entertainment

  • Kurt Steinkamp, Chief of Staff, Michigan Gaming Control Board

  • Eric Weiss, President, North America, Odds on Compliance
